Siemens has opened its Cyber Security Operation Center (CSOC) for the protection of industrial facilities, with a joint location in Lisbon and Munich and one in Milford (Ohio) in the USA.
Today, the Siemens Buildings Technologies Division and IBM announced cloud-based solutions that will leverage Siemens’ building expertise and IBM Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities to maximize the potential of connected buildings and the data they create, helping corporate real estate owners across multiple industries drive business results and meet energy efficiency goals.
With the Alpha 3200, Siemens has developed a new low-voltage power distribution board specifically to meet requirements in buildings like shopping malls, hotels, and office buildings. The distribution board can handle rated currents of up to 3,200 ampere and is therefore suitable for all buildings where large amounts of power are needed and distributed.
Under the motto “Make your building more livable,” Siemens will show at the light+building trade fair from March 13 to 18, 2016 how commercial buildings can be comfortable while also offering economical operation. One of the highlights will be the new version of the Desigo CC building management platform. With its enhanced interfaces and communication protocols, Desigo CC is now able to integrate and centrally manage even more disciplines, making building technologies more transparent and efficient than ever. In addition, new applications and functions allow Desigo CC to be used in even more areas and simplify the operation of building systems.
